In ANNOUNCEMENTS, NEWS, PROJECTS on 15/01/2011 at 21:28

The main Leadership Programme that the Institute holds every year, the Young Leaders Programme, has reached its 5th edition. The 2011 Young Leaders Programme will bring an increase in regional participation and create additional diversity and relevance for a growing Network of Aspen Fellows already covering 9 countries. Therefore we invite you to nominate individuals that you find suitable for the Programme.

What is it about?

The Young Leaders Program is designed with a clear two-fold goal: to promote and advance progressive leadership within Romanian and European society; and to create a regional network of leaders based on shared values and common interests.

The Programme is designed for people who have the potential, interest and determination to exercise leadership to the highest standards of civic and corporate responsibility and according to the ethical values on which Aspen is based. For this reason we offer a programme which challenges people to think about the fundamental concepts on which our society is founded. It also makes participants reflect to the challenges and conflicts that leaders must face in deciding polices and strategies for their organizations and their communities in today’s world.

Who can participate?

The Programme addresses young people between the ages of 25 and 35 having achieved significant professional positions and accomplished results within their area of activity. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership potential, a record of initiative and entrepreneurship and a proven civic interest. Candidates can come from: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.

Therefore, if you consider the program could add real value to young people with leadership qualities and initiatives within your environment, we would appreciate your nomination for one or more individuals you believe qualify. Also, we would like to ask you to spread the Young Leaders Program idea where you find it suitable, looking forward for other possible nominations from interesting professional or social backgrounds.

Nominations should be made by sending in English a letter of recommendation, a CV, the Letter of Intention completed by the Candidate and the Nomination Form to our Leadership Programmes Coordinator, Mr. Ciprian Stanescu at The deadline for submitting nominations is 10th February.
