Happy International Students’ Day!

In ANNOUNCEMENTS on 17/11/2010 at 07:33

Dear friends,

We would like to congratulate you on the occasion of International Students’ Day!!!!

More than half a century ago, students of the world united against fascism. On November 17th 1939 students’ resistance in the streets of Prague against Nazi occupation inspired the establishment of an anti-Nazi students’ coalition and in 1941 November 17th was declared International Students Day by the International Students Council in London.

Today, you are the ones who are able to influence politics and economy, participate in public life and to improve the world around you. We believe that you are the most active, involved and considerate part of our society.

Our wishes are simple: be healthy, happy, and successful!

We hope that the celebration of the International Students’ Day will become a regular holiday for our students and universities as well.

Sincerely,

Cooperation for Development NGO
